Qualcomm unveils 5G chip-sets
Samsung says it will use the chip in its 5G phones launching next year.
Apple, according to Bloomberg, is not planning a 5G phone launch until 2020.
The Snapdragon 855 will have face recognition, fingerprint recognition through the screen and object recognition.
The 855 is made on TSMC’s 7nm process. Qualcomm says it will allow multigigabit download speeds, increase AI performance by 3x and improve AR experiences.
